Information We Collect
We collect only what we need. This includes your name, email address, phone number and the details you give us when you subscribe to our newsletter, complete a form, make an enquiry, buy from our store or access CPD content, including professional details such as a registration number where CPD is involved. We also collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device and how you use the site. Providing information is voluntary, but without it we may not be able to provide the service you asked for. We do not knowingly ask for health information about you through this website.
Why We Use It
We process personal information to provide the services you request, run your account and subscriptions, process payments, respond to enquiries, deliver CPD content, send the newsletters you sign up for, keep the site secure, and understand and improve how the platform is used. We rely on your consent, on the performance of a contract with you, on our legitimate interests, or on a legal obligation, depending on the activity.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies to make the site work, remember your preferences and sessions, and understand how visitors use it through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may then stop working.
Embedded Content
Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images, magazine flipbooks or posts from other platforms. Those providers may set cookies and collect data about your interaction with their content, under their own privacy policies.
Newsletters and Direct Marketing
We send our newsletter and marketing communications only to people who have opted in, for example by subscribing through a form on this site, and to existing customers about similar products and services. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. We do not sell your personal information.
Who We Share It With
We share personal information only with service providers who process it for us and are required to protect it, and where the law requires. These currently include beehiiv (email), Google Analytics (analytics), PayFast (payments), WooCommerce (our store) and our website hosting and form providers. If an event, webinar or sponsored initiative involves a partner receiving your details, we will tell you at the point of registration.
Transfers Outside South Africa
Some of our service providers, such as beehiiv and Google, store or process data outside South Africa. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard comparable to POPIA, as required by section 72.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage and unauthorised access, including access controls, secure payment processing and trusted providers. No online system is completely secure, and if a security compromise affects your information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as the law requires.
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. After that we delete or de-identify it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your Rights
You may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal information, give you access to it, correct it, or delete it where we no longer need it. You may object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already done. To make a request, email hello@medimagza.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200 or 0800 017 160, inforegulator.org.za.
