Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you use medimagza.com and MEDIMAGZA’s products and services.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

01About MEDIMAGZA

MEDIMAGZA (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2025/015364/07) is a South African healthcare media and engagement business. Our platform includes this website, digital editions, the Clinical Library, CPD access, the HEMS Network, the Careers portal, newsletters, podcasts and related products and services (together, the “Platform”).

02Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using medimagza.com or any MEDIMAGZA product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and, if you act for an organisation, that you have authority to bind it. These Terms apply to all visitors, subscribers, registered users, employers, advertisers and partners.

03Accounts

To access certain features you may need to create an account. You must give accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us immediately at hello@medimagza.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

MEDIMAGZA may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

04Subscriptions, purchases and payments

Certain services, including CPD access and HEMS, are offered on a subscription or purchase basis. Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise, and fees are billed in advance for the applicable period (monthly, annual or once-off).

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. To cancel, contact us at hello@medimagza.com. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your card details.

Digital content and access are delivered immediately on purchase. Refunds are considered case by case and are not guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. We may adjust pricing with reasonable notice.

05CPD access

CPD content, accreditation details and point values are stated on each product page and may change. Completing content does not guarantee CPD points where assessment or completion criteria are not met.

You remain responsible for recording and submitting your CPD activity to your professional body or council as required.

06HEMS Network

HEMS is offered to healthcare practices under a separate order form or agreement, which prevails over these Terms where the two conflict. HEMS content is educational. Each practice remains responsible for what is displayed in its facility and for compliance with applicable law.

07Careers portal

Employers: by posting a listing you confirm that the vacancy is genuine, accurate and complies with South African labour and employment law. MEDIMAGZA does not guarantee any number of applications or that a role will be filled, and may remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.

Candidates: the Careers portal connects job seekers with healthcare employers. MEDIMAGZA is not a recruiter or employment agency and makes no representation about the suitability or availability of any role. Employment matters are solely between the candidate and the employer.

08Advertisers and sponsors

Sponsored content and advertising are clearly labelled. Advertisers and sponsors are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and regulatory compliance of their content and claims. MEDIMAGZA does not endorse any advertiser’s products or services unless explicitly stated, and may decline or remove advertising that conflicts with our editorial standards or applicable regulations.

For advertising and partnership enquiries: sales@medimagza.com.

09Healthcare content disclaimer

Content on the Platform, including articles, clinical resources and CPD material, is for information and education only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional consultation, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional about a medical condition. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency service.

10Intellectual property

All content on the Platform, including articles, editorial content, graphics, logos, layouts and compiled data, belongs to MEDIMAGZA or its licensed contributors and is protected by South African and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent. You may share links to our content for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution.

11Acceptable use

You agree not to: copy, scrape or systematically extract content; share your account, passwords or private access links with others; misrepresent your identity or professional status; upload malicious code; use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; or interfere with its operation or security. Breach may lead to immediate suspension and legal action.

12Newsletters and communications

13Privacy

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Please read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

14Third-party links and services

The Platform may link to or rely on third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

15Availability

We work to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

16Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, MEDIMAGZA, its directors, employees and partners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, reliance on any content, inability to access the Platform, or errors or omissions in content. Use of the Platform is at your own risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@medimagza.com so that we can try to resolve it.

18Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
